Please note that the deadline for all Kenyans to travel on the new e-passport has been extended to 1st March 2020.
By way of a press release dated 25th July, 2019, the government spokesperson Col (Rtd) Oguna advised that Kenyans may continue to use the old generation passports until March 2020. You may read more on the press release here.
The initial deadline was scheduled for 31st August 2019.
This transformation began in August 2017 when Kenya started processing and issuing single electronic East African Community (EAC) passports to replace the readable East African and Ordinary passports issued by respective East Africa member states.
